The Marketing and Advertising Manager will primarily be responsible for the supporting the Marketing Director with Media Planning, Research and Segmentation, Ticket Promotions and TV & Radio Spot Management while acting as an internal marketing liaison across the organization.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Work with Director of Marketing & agency to develop targeted, measurable media efforts across paid, owned and earned channels
    • Primary media channels: Digital (display/ social/search) TV, radio, OOH, and print
  • Manage media deployment calendar, working closely with the Creative team to provide visual & messaging direction while ensuring delivery dates are consistently met
  • Work closely with Digital team & Major League Baseball Advanced Media to define objectives for paid digital/social campaigns, track ROI and manage programs
  • Produce ongoing media analytics reports for channel optimization
  • Work with local media partners to develop advertising & marketing promotions throughout the year
  • Develop TV & radio programs for the outer markets to drive out-of-town visits during summer months
  • Manage key relationships with Braves Radio Network (BRN) and ensure effective promotions across 140+ stations within BRN
  • Lead ongoing content brainstorming sessions to develop applicable, creative content for media channels
  • Work with production team(s) to manage spot creation/approval process
  • Write TV & radio scripts for in-house produced TV & radio spots
  • Work with creative and media partners to traffic all media deliverables (eg: TV & radio spots)
  • Manages approval process across all creative jobs
  • Responsible for ongoing definition and reassessment of fan segments and application of research across media channels
  • Works across the organization to evangelize key aspects/qualities of fan segments to ensure consistency in target audience definition
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
  • 7-10 years' experience in marketing
  • Proactive thinking and interest in developing and executing new ideas to better improve the efficiency of the overall brand
  • Organization skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • An understanding and appreciation for baseball, and specifically the Atlanta Braves
  • An understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures and an ability to work effectively with individuals of all levels within the company
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
  • Able to work long hours, overtime, weekends and occasional holidays
  • Must complete a successful Criminal and Credit background check
