Event Operations Trainee

Position description includes but is not limited to:

  • Assist with the operational needs and set-up for all Gameday Events, Non-Gameday Events, Corporate and Executive Events, Fan Experience Events, Internal Events/Meetings (i.e. Chop Fest, Lead-Off luncheon, Front Office Staff Meetings, Staff Training, Holiday Activations)
  • Assist with interviewing and onboarding part-time Event Ops Logistics Team on a year-round basis
  • Assist with the scheduling of part-time Event Ops Logistics Team
  • Track and record hours for Non-Gameday Event Logistics Team
  • Assist in ensuring that the relative areas of the Ballpark are cleaned, crowd control measures and all assets are in place and all areas are ready for event date
  • Assist with the predetermined pre/postgame logistical set-up for Braves Entertainment in the Plaza/Battery on gameday/non-gameday events
  • Assist with the transport, maintenance, storage of operational assets (i.e. staging, props, tables, tents, signage)
  • Assist with the receiving of promotional items/operational assets, storing pieces and inventory/maintenance
  • Assist Director of Event Operations, Department Managers and Coordinator with responsibilities, duties and special projects as assigned
  • Work on duty as needed during Braves home games

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • BA or MS degree in Marketing or Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience event planning, supporting management, sports experience preferred
  • Proactive, organized and detail-oriented person who can prioritize their workload and follow through with minimal supervision
  • Outgoing personality with track record of effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • An understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures, possess an ability to work effectively and relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds and all levels within the company
  • Self-motivated individual with high degree of responsibility including confidentiality, sense of urgency, and accountability
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm in attitude and approach
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Must be a team player, who cares about the department's work and reputation
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work during games, long hours, weekends and occasional holidays
